Jin Shin Jyutsu: Gentle Hands-on healing art

Suzanne has practiced this ancient hands-on-healing art since 1980. Treatments are very relaxing and nourishing and last 45 to 60 minutes. These sessions are ideal for anyone who prefers a meditative style of treatment or would like an alternative to acupuncture. They both work with the same meridian and energetic systems of the body to harmonize imbalances, nourish health and foster a calm spirit. Gentle Acupuncture

Suzanne offers a gentle approach which fosters relaxation. Each visit includes time for a short consult or discussion as needed. Acupuncture is used in the context of Chinese medicine combined with herbal, nutritional and positive lifestyle changes for optimal and lasting benefits.

Herbal Medicine

Suzanne began her study and practice of herbal and nutritional medicine in the 1970s; first as a participant in her own healing practice, then working with friends, family and gradually working with individuals as a consultant. She works with Western, Ayurvedic and Chinese herbs from a strong foundation in Chinese medicine which offers a profound knowledge and understanding of how to choose herbs appropriate for the individual. Suzanne was trained by her teachers to custom blend formulations unique to each person's changing needs.

Herbal medicine is included as part of your acupuncture sessions or you can see Suzanne for an Herbal Consult.

Food as Medicine

Diet and nutrition actually form the basis of Chinese medicine in practical use, because the foods we eat daily effect our health profoundly over time. Modern research shows that many chronic and degenerative conditions are caused by nutritional deficit. Working to facilitate positive, constructive dietary changes, allows us to make healthy choices throughout life.

Qi Gong Classes

Suzanne loves teaching The 8 Flowing Forms Qi Gong as taught to her by Lily Siou, Taoist Master, and other teachers during her time as a student at Tai Hsuan Foundation in Hawaii. She also teaches Sitting forms along with foundational Qi Gong instruction on stance, breath, calm shen and restorative Qi Gong that benefits long-term practice and can enhance any practice of Qi Gong, Tai Chi, yoga or other practices. Qi Gong nourishes the vital life force and internal organs, gently building strength and facilitating a calm spirit so essential to help balance our busy lives today.

Wellness Consults

Suzanne began her study and practice of herbal and nutritional medicine in the 1970s; first as a participant in her own healing practice, then working with friends, family and gradually working with individuals as a consultant.
